Funny Things Your Older Kids Have Asked About Pregnancy/birth?

August 1, 2009 in Funny

So a few minutes ago, my son who is 4, asked me the funniest question about when i am in the hospital delivering the new baby.
“Mommy, when you are done getting the baby out of your tummy, will the doctor give you a lollipop?”
I found this absolutely hysterical, lol. But of course, all kids think that every experience with a doctor is similar to what they experience when they go to their own doctor.
What funny things have your other kids asked you about pregnancy or childbirth?

I bet this lake is full of fish oil

June 13, 2009 in Funny

angelica_and_fishWe went up to a lake which is about 15 minutes from our house. It’s up in the mountains, and usually pretty cold, so you can swim there only a short period of time. Anyway, as my two boys, 9 and 10, were walking along the shore looking for frogs, one of the them said “Man, this is way nicer than the local pool”. My youngest replied: “Yeah, and it’s all natural. There’s no chlorine in here.” Then he thought for a moment and said “I bet this lake is full of fish oil. That’s really good for you, you know.”
LOL…out of the mouths of babes…

How Do You Feel About Kids Under 10 Watching Horror Movies?

May 13, 2009 in Funny

My cousin’s little girl watches the Exorcist and thinks it is funny. She is 5. He also has 2 other kids ages 8 and 10 and they all watch really scary movies like the Grudge and The ring. They have no problems with nightmares and their parents say as long as there in no cussing, nudity or sexual content there is no problem. That is not the only things they watch of course, they watch the Hannah Montana, and whatever else kids watch, but those movies scare me and I am an adult.

What About This Riddle Can You Figure It?

April 29, 2009 in Riddles

Mark and Billy have been the best friends ever since they were little kids.
They are also very competitive. Throughout the years they have challenged each other to do both physical and mental challenges. And they completed the challenge.
But one day Mark thought of something to challenge Billy to do – something he could start but never finish. The average man could do it and so could Mark and they were both the same sex and the same size. It is a physical challenge.
Can you figure out what it was?

How Do You Get Your Child To Have Positive Self Esteem And Not Worry About What Other Kids Say?

April 29, 2009 in Funny

My daughter is only 6 and she is so bothered by what other kids say. Like today is dress like Dr. Suess day and she was cute I thought. But the other kids did not dress up and then when i went to school to see her, she had taken her dress up stuff off because kids were making fun of her. No one else dressed up. I said it is because are jealous, that is usually why others make fun of people. But she had her feelings hurt. Should i just let it go, or try to talk to her about it. I know she is young but self esteem is so important in girls later on that I want to let her know starting now that she is her own person. Is that crazy! Thanks. I just hate that kids are hurting her feelings. Thanks.

The Three Men And The Missing Dollar

April 23, 2009 in Riddles

3 Men check into a motel room. The room cost $30. Each man paid $10. The manager of the motel realized he overcharged the men for their room. The room should have been $25. He gave the bellboy $5 to give back to the men. The bellboy took the money, but on the way thought to himself, “$5 cannot be divided evenly by 3 people.” The bellboy then pocketed $2 and decided to give the men $3 back, each man receiving $1. At this point the room cost each man $9.
$9 x 3 = $27
$27 + $2 (Bellboy pocketted) = $29.
What happened to the last dollar? They originally paid $30 for the room!
The desk clerk originally received $30 and gave $5 back to the bellhop, so he has $25. The three men originally gave away $30 and received $3 back, so they have $3. The bellhop was allowed to keep $2 for his trouble. $25 + $3 + $2 = $30.
